As a Field Service Representative- Traveling Technician, you’ll be on the front lines providing operational and maintenance expertise on industrial water treatment systems for one of our customers from a variety of industries. Job Summary
The primary responsibilities of the irrigation assistant are to work with irrigation leadership to ensure the performance and functionality of all equipment in and related to the water room as well as the irrigation in the flower rooms. The day typically starts with basic water sample testing, record keeping and communicating daily test results. On weekdays only, various cleaning processes are implemented to maintain the various systems used within the Water Room. Other tasks include scouting irrigation events in flower rooms, performing maintenance, as well as assisting with ongoing projects and upgrades throughout the facility. This is an unique opportunity to learn the inner workings of a hydroponics facility.
The schedule for this position is a rotating schedule 40 hours per week, 7am-5:30pm with every other weekend required!

Must be able to work in an environment with kief in the air.

As an active cemetery, Mount Auburn inspires all who visit, comforts the bereaved, and commemorates the dead in a landscape of exceptional beauty. As an accredited arboretum, Mount Auburn features 5,000 trees and more than 20,000 plants overall. POSITION SUMMARY:&nbsp;&nbsp; Assists the Irrigation System and Infrastructure Manager performing maintenance and repair of the irrigation system, drainage system, roads and paths throughout the Cemetery. Supports facilities maintenance work, as directed by supervisor.&nbsp; May be required to assist other departments, including interments as assigned by supervisor.&nbsp; Duties require the employee to work outside in all weather conditions and following all safety rules and regulations.&nbsp; &nbsp;DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Under the direct supervision of the irrigation system manager, assist in the installation, repair and maintenance of the Cemetery’s irrigation system.&nbsp; Work includes trenching for new installations; repairing, flushing, and replacing irrigation valves, layout and installation of micro emitters and sprinkler heads.</li>
<li>Assists in the replacement and repair of 2-inch isolation valves in the road. This includes but is not limited to cutting asphalt, threading 2- inch galvanized pipe, cutting and coupling 8-inch ductile iron pipe.</li>
<li>Performs daily maintenance checks on fountain pumps and filters. Pressure washes fountains as needed.</li>
<li>Assists in the repair of roads and paths, including cutting asphalt, filling potholes, minor line striping.</li>
<li>Assists in the maintenance of the drainage system including cleaning catch basins, area drains, and drain covers.</li>
<li>Helps with the maintenance of the pond aeration systems (replacing pumps, fans etc.).</li>
<li>At the discretion of the supervisor, assist the Facilities Department with routine maintenance or special projects.</li>
<li>Ability to use all vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly.</li>
<li>Ability to operate equipment ranging from jackhammers, cut-off saw, hand power tools.</li>
<li>Assist with snow removal, including hand shoveling and snow blower operations.</li>
<li>Follow all Cemetery safety policies and procedures related to assigned tasks, including wearing personal protective equipment, proper handling of chemicals, ladder safety and lifting and moving heavy objects. Bring unsafe conditions to the attention of the Irrigation and Infrastructure Systems Manager.</li>
<li>Always represent Mount Auburn appropriately when at work, in demeanor, attitude, uniform and written and verbal communication.</li>
