Who You Are:
You’re energetic and enjoy working outdoors. You understand that this space can be demanding, and you make sure you have the tools and resources to get the job done. You have at least one year experience in the vegetation management and utility space.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Accurately identify dead and dying trees affected by drought and other environmental conditions</li>
<li>Inspect overhead power lines for proper vegetation clearance</li>
<li>Perform inspection and work verification on post pre-inspection and post tree-trimming work</li>
<li>Document information for client’s vegetation management program</li>
<li>Inspect and assess trees for hazard or danger potential</li>
<li>Audit tree contractor's work for compliance with client specifications and needs</li>
<li>Assist in storm and emergency situations and other miscellaneous line clearance projects.</li>
<li>Communicate daily with the client, contractors, landowners, and public</li>
<li>Perform duties in a manner that will promote and maintain good public relations</li>
<li>Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned</li>
</ul>

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Forestry, Environmental Science, or related field preferred</li>
<li>ISA Certified Arborist Designation preferred</li>
<li>Certified Tree Safety Professional (CTSP) is a plus</li>
<li>Experience in Forestry, Arboriculture or Horticulture a plus</li>
<li>Must possess tree identification skills and the ability to read maps</li>
<li>Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to multi-task and an attention to detail</li>
<li>Must be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain</li>
<li>Must be good with technology and have basic computer and smart phone skills</li>
<li>Operate a 4x4 vehicle on rough roads</li>
<li>Bi-lingual speaking (English and Spanish) is a plus</li>

Job Duties
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
<ul>
<li>&nbsp;Learn to be a tree doctor! Join us and Discover Davey's career pathways in the green industry. Work in the field, side-by-side with experienced Arborists, Climbers and Plant Health Care technicians and Landscape professionals to deliver exceptional client service and maintain the health and beauty of trees &amp; landscapes.&nbsp; </li>
<ul>
<li>Tree pruning, removing, cabling, bracing and maintenance</li>
<li>Tree &amp; Landscape Installation</li>
<li>Safe operation of equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and other tools used in the field</li>
<li>Plant Health Care, including deep root fertilization, soil care and integrated pest &amp; disease management</li>
<li>Exposure to the daily operations and business components that power a successful Residential Tree Care office</li>
<li>Client service, sales, management, and leadership fundamentals</li>
</ul>
</ul>
WHAT WE WILL DO:
<ul>
<li>Introduce career orientated students to exceptional opportunities in the green industry, providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment for students to learn, develop, and employ life and job skills from Davey professionals.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>HOURS:&nbsp; 40-50 hours per week; Monday - Friday with some Saturdays</li>
<li>SALARY:&nbsp; $22 -$ 23 hourly</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Studying Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry or related discipline</li>
<li>Driver’s license required. Commercial driver’s license a plus</li>
</ul>

Position Overview
Directs&nbsp;crew members&nbsp;and equipment&nbsp;and plans and executes assigned work or tasks&nbsp;by performing the following duties.&nbsp;
Job Duties
What You’ll Do:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Including but not limited to: &nbsp;</li>
<li>Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process&nbsp;</li>
<li>Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy&nbsp;</li>
<li>Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems &nbsp;</li>
<li>Removal of hazardous trees&nbsp;</li>
<li>Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more. &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
What We’re Seeking:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Love of the outdoors&nbsp;</li>
<li>Required: Previous tree climbing experience&nbsp;</li>
<li>Required: Previous experience as a Crew Leader or Foreman&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Relevant CDL, pesticide applicator's license and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law</li>
<li>Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist ®, ISA Certified Tree Worker ®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional ®</li>
