A. Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our team in Northborough, MA. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

 Dockworker qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent, preferred</li>
<li>Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment, preferred</li>
<li>Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics preferred</li>
<li>Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations</li>
<li>Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively </li>
</ul>
Dockworker responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
<ul>
<li>Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack</li>
<li>Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport</li>
<li>Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal</li>
<li>Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers </li>
<li>Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work</li>
<li>Operating with a customer service first mentality </li>

Position Title: Associate Attorney
Reports To: Partner, Emerging Practices
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Draft original motions, pleadings, and other litigation-related documents in complex matters.</li>
<li>Prepare and respond to written discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses exchanged with multiple parties.</li>
<li>Develop and advance case defenses, litigation strategy, and trial themes with increasing autonomy.</li>
<li>Analyze and apply state and federal case law, statutes, and regulatory authority to case facts in support of pre-trial motions and other submissions.</li>
<li>Interview, prepare, and examine fact witnesses, expert witnesses, and corporate representatives for testimony in litigation or before regulatory bodies.</li>
<li>Take and defend depositions, including lay, expert, and corporate representative depositions.</li>
<li>Argue motions and participate in court appearances as appropriate based on experience.</li>
<li>Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear, professional oral and written communication.</li>
<li>Draft pre-trial reports, case evaluations, and perform exposure and risk analysis.</li>
<li>Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, status conferences, and hearings, including court-mandated proceedings.</li>
<li>Develop comprehensive strategies for case resolution and approach legal issues with creativity and sound judgment.</li>
<li>Identify, assign, and supervise work performed by paralegals and litigation support staff on assigned matters.</li>

Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 3-7 years of litigation experience in a law firm </li>
<li>Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.</li>
<li>Active admission to practice law, with good standing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the State of Rhode Island. Additional State licenses are highly preferred. </li>
<li>Demonstrated experience managing billable work in a law firm setting.</li>
<li>Substantive litigation experience in one or more of the following areas: environmental law, commercial litigation, product liability, construction litigation, insurance defense, business litigation, or other complex risk management matters.</li>
<li>Strong client service orientation with proven experience interacting directly with clients.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.</li>
<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Filevine or other document management systems preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively under pressure while exercising sound professional judgment.</li>

The firm’s expected salary range for this position is $130,000-$170,000. Actual salary will be determined based on education, experience, internal equity and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law. The firm offers benefits including comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement savings, and paid time off and holidays.
