Research &amp; development at Vaxess is cross-disciplinary, integrating basic science and engineering to transform delivery of next-generation therapies and vaccines. Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Support in vivo studies, including PK and safety studies in rat and swine. This includes preclinical animal model development and IND-enabling safety and efficacy studies across pipeline programs.</li>
<li>Track ongoing animal studies, coordinating tasks from vivarium organization and test article administration to tissue harvest and downstream processing</li>
<li>Characterize microneedle array patch (MAP) test articles deployed into preclinical models, e.g. by visual inspection, skin penetration, dose delivery and potentially other performance measurements</li>
<li>Perform initial biometric tests on animals and downstream blood and tissue harvests to support bioassays that assess treatment effects</li>
<li>Contribute to study design and protocol and report writing; communicate logistical needs and present work in team meetings</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with scientists and engineers to advance drug candidates from research through Phase I/II clinical trials</li>
<li>Maintain accurate laboratory records and electronic lab notebook entries</li>

JOB SUMMARY

Summary:
Join Woodwell Climate’s Rangeland team as a Research Associate on a 2-year project focused on applying ecosystem carbon model simulations for conservation practices within U.S. rangeland systems, including those in Montana and Colorado. The successful candidate will work closely with our partners at the World Wildlife Fund and Columbia University, and will interact with ranch managers and other collaborators. The successful candidate will lead model simulations within a high-performance computing (HPC) environment, and may assist the team with model structural improvements, optimization, and parameterizations. The candidate will help process remote sensing and geospatial data, will lead model verification using field and lab data, will compute change detection analyses and data summary statistics.
