Summary: The Direct Support Professional 3 will support and assist in Level 3 residential programs. Staff will help individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>

<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>

Summary: The Direct Support Professional 3 will support and assist in Level 3 residential programs. Staff will help individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Individuals may require moderate physical assistance or accommodation. Staff will receive and must pass specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities, including behavioral support or enhanced medical care.
Schedule: Monday 3:00pm -11:00pm, Friday 2:00pm -10:00pm, Saturday 5:00pm - 11:00pm, Sunday 9:00am - 8:00pm (33 hours per week)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
<ol>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Create opportunities and provide support to individuals to make decisions to develop their skills and foster independence. </li>
<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide support and assist individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs.</li>
<li>Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.</li>
<li>Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community.</li>
<li>Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.</li>
<li>Maintain core training certifications including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP.</li>
<li>Maintain additional mandated certifications and training as required by the program.</li>
<li>Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders.</li>
<li>Other duties as assigned.</li>
</ol>
Required Education/Experience:
<ol>
<li>Must have a high school diploma or GED - Associate's Degree or DSP Certification Preferred.</li>
<li>A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.</li>
</ol>
Required Skills/Knowledge:
<ol>
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills so that the writing of required documents is clear and articulate.</li>
<li>Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Valid driver's license and minimum of one year of driving experience.</li>
<li>Computer literacy includes the ability to use proficiently Microsoft products and web-based applications used by the agency.</li>

Physical Demands:

<li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.</li>

Job Description League School for Autism is an award-winning, year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the Autism Spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking part-time DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS for our residential program in Walpole to work 2nd and 3rd shifts on weekends. Other shifts may also be available. Starting pay rate is $22.00/hour.

Position Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Must have HS diploma and preferably a Bachelor’s degree; or be in an undergraduate course of study, preferably special education, education, psychology, human services or social work. </li>
<li>Prior experience caring for children in a residential setting required; autism experience preferred.</li>
<li>Safety Care, CPR and First Aid certifications (training will be provided if you do not have these currently).</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license.</li>
<li>Must pass rigorous background checks, including nationwide fingerprint screening.</li>
</ul>

Supervision Received: Program Manager, Assistant Residential Manager

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
<ol>
<li>Assist students in all areas including life skills, community trips, personal health care, social and recreational activities. </li>
<li>Support the students by helping to prepare healthy meals and keeping the properties safe and clean. </li>
<li>Must have good organization skills and be a creative problem solver.</li>
<li>Must be able to document all incidents and communicate effectively with clients, families, co-workers and supervisors. </li>
<li>All shifts require that staff be awake and alert at all times.</li>
<li>New hires must be available for regularly scheduled weekend work.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with all school staff members to coordinate support for students.</li>
<li>Transport students in League School vans, as needed.</li>
</ol>

Computer Skills:
 To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Mail.
