Direct Support Professionals are members of a team responsible for providing high quality direct care services to adults with developmental disabilities. We are looking for both entry level and experienced individuals to work as Direct Support Professionals in our residential homes. The right candidates will be responsible for providing care and assistance to Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Full and part time positions available in Chelsea, Winthrop, Revere, Waltham, West Roxbury, Hyde Park and Saugus. Please indicate preference for location and shift.
Salary: $20 per hour. 
$2.00/hour differential for high intensity programs
What you’ll do:

<li>Offer guidance for residents during skills building</li>
<li>Develop and implement individual treatment plans for residents</li>
<li>Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, money management, doctor’s appointments and assisting with personal hygiene</li>
<li>Ensure appropriate staff-to-client ratio at all time</li>
<li>Develop and promote a supportive relationship with the residents</li>
<li>Support each Individuals existing relationships and assist in increasing their network of friends and acquaintances.</li>

What you’ll need:

Direct Support Professional

Job Description
As a Residential Support Specialist, you will provide direct care to individuals with various mental health diagnoses living in a residential setting. The RSS will help individuals with daily living skills, transportation, skill-building, money management, medication administration, risk mitigation and other areas based on the person centered treatment plan. Services are provided based on Recovery tenets and are aimed to promote overall health and well-being of persons served. Salary range: $17.50-$19.50 per hour, depending on program placement.
What you’ll do:

<li>Engage people and partner with them to improve their health and wellness, achieve symptom stabilization and self-management and develop and/or restore skills impacted by mental illness to help them live a self-directed life.</li>
<li>Assist people with psychiatric and substance use disorders to identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests in order to help them establish goals that support a life in recovery.</li>
<li>Arrange and transport residents to appointments or daily outings.</li>

Summary: The Direct Support Professional 2 will provide support and assistance in Level 2 residential programs. Staff will provide support to individuals who need daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living while managing within a home environment and in the community. Individuals may require moderate physical assistance or accommodation. Staff will receive and must pass specialized training to provide enhanced supervision or interventions designed to address multiple disabilities which may include behavioral supports or enhanced medical care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living.</li>
<li>Create opportunities and provide support to individuals to make decisions to develop their skills and foster independence.</li>
<li>Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>

Summary: The Residential Manager ensures the quality of care and successful daily operations of a residential home for the people served. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ol>
<li>Ensure program, agency, and accreditation standards are met concerning quality of care including individual behavior and treatment plans, ISP documentation, HCSIS, and other documentation as required, and in line with Bridgewell Policies &amp; Procedures.</li>
<li>Ensure the staffing needs of the program are met based on defined ratios and attendance of persons served. This includes coordination of work schedules, hiring of new staff, and coordinating the use of per diem and agency relief staff, as needed.</li>
<li>Positively manage staff by conducting monthly supervisions with each staff and team meetings; supporting, coaching, and mentoring staff to develop skills and abilities, and providing recognition opportunities for staff. Provide timely Performance Evaluations. Ensure performance standards are met, and proactively address performance concerns, working with program management and Human Resources, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Ensure employees maintain certifications (such as CPR/1st Aid, MAP, PPS, and PABC, as required) and complete all other training requirements of Bridgewell and the program's funding sources.</li>
<li>Ensure administrative duties are completed and followed as required in areas including finance, human resources, payroll, quality assurance, electronic health records, and Medication Administration Procedures.</li>
<li>Responsible for On-Call coverage based on a rotating schedule for that particular program, and/or cluster, as designated. On-call coverage includes addressing concerns and providing direction to employees, managing call-outs and scheduling per diem staff, on-call reporting, and possible coverage of shifts if staffing cannot be coordinated for a shift.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with clinical and nursing teams to ensure the behavioral and medical needs of persons served are met. Collaborate with all service providers, ensuring communication and documentation are clear concerning the coordination and management of each person's needs.</li>
<li>Work with guardians and family members on issues related to the care and services provided to their family members. Communicate proactively, as appropriate, working to build a positive relationship, and ensuring staff are also trained in the best practices of working with families.</li>
<li>Manage the financial responsibilities of the program, including program expenses, monitoring overtime, supply ordering, and monthly budget review.</li>
<li>Ensure people served are provided support with financial needs, such as managing funds, applying for food stamps, social security, Mass Health, housing vouchers/section 8 applications, and/or employment.</li>
<li>Provide direct care in the absence of program staff, as needed. This can include covering individual shifts, as well as, assisting with management needs in other programs where either a management vacancy or extended absence is occurring.</li>
<li>Coordinate or assist with program community outings and meetings with families. Ensure all information and materials required for any meeting or outing is adequately prepared, and that positive relationships are built and maintained. Ensure positive neighbor relationships are maintained, and that any concerns are raised to senior management.</li>
<li>Manage the technology needs of the program, including employee time and attendance, and data management/electronic health record systems. Ensure information is tracked as required, and system needs and issues are raised to the IT Department or Payroll Department, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Ensure vehicles assigned to the program maintain registrations as required and receive maintenance as scheduled. Coordinate and address needs with the Transportation Department. Ensure employee use of the vans follows established Bridgewell protocols—report accidents promptly to Transportation.</li>
<li>Ensure the confidentiality of Personal Health Information, records of persons served, and other related information complies with HIPAA and other state or federal mandates.</li>
<li>Ensure safe operations of the program by providing safety training per the Safety Calendar, addressing program physical maintenance needs, conducting audits as required, and alerting management to any concerns.</li>

Required Education/Experience:

<li>Bachelor's Degree preferred. An Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2 years in a direct support role or significant industry experience, instead of a degree, may be considered at the discretion of management.</li>

How you will make an impact
