<li>Provide services to people in our services according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Provide support and assist people in our services with all medical, clinical and financial needs.</li>
<li>Transport and accompany people in our services as needed to and from medical, recreational and other activities outside the program.</li>
<li>Maintain daily progress notes, shift checklists, shift assignments and other required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Complete household cleaning duties as assigned.</li>

About This Position Moose Hill Nature Camp is seeking an individual to manage supplies, food, gear, and the overall camp program. We aim to promote positive youth development, stewardship for the environment, and a respectful and inclusive safe space for all our campers.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Maintain and inventory program materials</li>
<li>Plan camp-wide activities </li>
<li>Plan and develop curriculum for camp with the Camp Director</li>
<li>Substitute teach as necessary </li>
<li>Abide by and enforce camp policies </li>
<li>Use First Aid/CPR skills as necessary according to camp’s standing medical orders</li>
<li>Participate in all camp activities such as opening and closing circle, all camp games, and camp clean up </li>
<li>Participate in daily meeting/planning sessions with other staff </li>
<li>Protect the physical and emotional welfare of the campers and make independent safety decisions when needed</li>
<li>Lead, motivate, and evaluate staff in a positive environment</li>
<li>Assist with the direction of the day-to-day activities of the camp program and with the supervision of the day camp staff</li>
<li>Provide a physically and emotionally safe environment for children </li>
<li>Maintain a safe physical environment of camp by assisting with and delegating housekeeping tasks</li>
<li>Regularly monitor work of counselors </li>
</ul>

Required qualifications as per Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MA DPH) regulations, American Camp Association standards and Mass Audubon Policy:

<li>Must be 20 years of age or older</li>
<li>At least 4 weeks of experience working with children including, but not limited to, babysitting (volunteer or otherwise) and experience with younger siblings</li>
<li>Hold current First Aid and CPR certifications or participate in Mass Audubon provided training to obtain certification prior to the beginning of camp</li>
<li>Provide documented proof of immunity or vaccination record as mandated by MA DPH; complete camp health form and waiver</li>
<li>Willing to be outdoors for several hours per day in most weather conditions</li>
<li>Ability to physically access sanctuary terrain and trails easily by foot</li>
<li>Ability to effectively interact with others, especially children, in camp’s youth-centered environment</li>
<li>Ability to adapt to changes in schedule and work assignment</li>
</ul>
Desired Qualifications:

<li>Prior experience working at a day or resident camp</li>
</ul>
Work Schedule Camp staff training will be held from June 10 through June 20, 2026. Camp runs from June 22 through August 21, 2026. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM. 
Compensation and Benefits This position’s pay range is $18.30-$21.00 per hour; actual pay will be determined based on experience level, qualifications relative to position requirements, and location of the position. This is not a benefits eligible position.

Training Requirements All Mass Audubon Camp Staff undergo mandatory training prior to interacting with campers. Training includes: Natural History, Lesson Planning, Behavior Management, Games, and more.
