The Program Specialist role directs and manages overall daily operations of a site/program with the primary concern for a comprehensive, outcome-driven program and service delivery. Leadership 
-Establishes site programs, activities, and services that prepare youth for success and creates an outcome-driven Club experience. 
-Promotes and stimulates program participation; registers new members and participates in their club orientation process 
-Provides guidance and role modeling to members. -Ensures that all childcare licensing requirements per the NH Childcare Licensing Bureau are implemented. 
-Ensures a healthy, safe environment, with well-maintained facilities, equipment, and supplies. 
-Compiles regular reports reflecting all activities, attendance, and participation. 
 
Resource Development 
-Participates in the grant application process providing ideas for funding programs and other services. 
-Assists with fundraising events and initiatives. 
-Develops and increases the visibility of the Club programs through daily schedule posting, event announcements, and dissemination of information through advertising, flyers, and social media. 
 
 
Relationships/Partnership Development/Public Relations 
-Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisors to receive/provide information discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions; instruct, advise/counsel. 
-Maintains professional contact with community members, community leaders and organizations, Club parents, and others to assist in resolving situations and in order to develop and maintain partnerships. -Develops and maintains public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services, and activities within the Club and the community. 
-Will work at different locations/programs as needed. Must be willing to travel. 
 Requirements A program specialist in a school-age program shall be at least 20 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, including but not limited to a General Equivalency Diploma (GED), a High School Equivalency Test (HiSet), or a Test Assessing Secondary Completion (TASC), and have at least one of the following: (1) Written documentation from or on file with the department that she or he was qualified and employed as a site director in a school-age program on or before the effective date of these rules in 2022; (2) A minimum of an associate’s degree in child development, education, recreation, or other field of study focused on children, awarded by an accredited college or university; (3) Certification of successful completion of training as a recreation director plus 1000 hours of experience working with children in a licensed child care program, recreation program, or a public or private elementary school; (4) A total of 12 credits in child development, education, recreation, or other field of study focused on children, from an accredited college plus 1000 hours of experience working with children; (5) Current certification as an educator by the Department of Education; or (6) Experience working with children totaling 2000 hours and: a. Current certification as a para II educator by the Department of Education; or b. Both of the following: 1. Documentation of enrollment in a course for at least 3 credits in child development, education, recreation, or other fields of study focused on children, through an accredited college or university and a written plan on file for completion of at least 3 additional credits as specified; and 
2. Within 12 months of the date the individual begins working as a site director, documentation of successful completion of a total of at least 6 credits as specified in b.1. shall be on file for review by the department.

Job Summary
Working as a Senior Director of Dining Services (Sr DDS), you will manage multiple K12 schools within a district or across districts. You will be our point of contact for the school administrator responsible for foodservice, lead the teams within your assigned account(s), and manage the overall operation. You will provide planning and direction within the assigned accounts to achieve operational and financial goals in a dynamic environment, comply with all applicable regulations, maintain strong client relationships, and fulfill our mission to feed kids. 
Key Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Leads, manages, and inspires a diverse team(s) at a large account or multiple accounts, with the goal of providing top-notch service to the client, students, and community</li>
<li>Drives and develops self and team at the account(s) towards building strong relationships with client(s) and achievement of key performance indicators (profitability, safety, engagement, etc.) </li>
<li>May serve on district leadership team, and participates in ongoing conversations with peers to share best practices, mitigate risks, champion diversity, and build community</li>
<li>Ensures decisions are weighed for risk/reward and short/long term implications, while gathering input from the team and partners </li>
<li>Fosters a culture of transparency, understanding, education, safety, and accountability </li>
<li>Serves as the representative/brand ambassador of the Chartwells team within the district(s) and the community; attends key client and community events</li>
<li>Ensures client(s) needs are met or exceeded, we retain the account(s), find cross-sell opportunities, and assist in rebid process as directed</li>
<li>Supports functional areas including but not limited to safety, marketing, nutrition and culinary</li>
<li>Ensures adherence to local, state, federal and company policies, and conducts unit audits to ensure conformance for key areas (e.g. food storage, sanitation) </li>
<li>Maintains compliance with USDA regulations and guidance for all applicable meal and retail programs, along with completing all required reporting on time</li>
<li>Champions development within the account(s) and has a full understanding of all roles within the operation; conducts performance evaluations, along with succession planning for the account(s)</li>
<li>Owns the financial results for the account(s), and works to ensure accuracy for reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes </li>
<li>Ensures consistent and fair administration of all policies and procedures</li>
</ul>

Required Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Educational minimum and work experience per USDA Professional Standards for the account(s)</li>
</ul>

Preferred Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree and minimum of three (3) years of management experience, preferably in foodservice, hospitality management, plant operations management, environmental services, laundry, or other Support Services area </li>
<li>Is well-versed in foodservice management with proven track record of success, ideally in K12 foodservice </li>
<li>Has proven track record of leading a business and a team, strong customer service, and good business and financial acumen</li>
<li>Demonstrates strong initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communications (listening, written, and verbal), multi-tasking, prioritization, and organization skills</li>
<li>Champions the inclusion mindset, and is proactive, positive, professional, and resilient </li>
<li>Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and POS software </li>
</ul>
