YAPMs provide strength-based, peer-to-peer education, coaching, modeling, guidance, and support to YAs. YAPMs develop healthy relationships with the YAs to include listening from a peer perspective, encouraging the YA’s unique gifts/strengths, and fostering their communication with family, friends, natural supports, providers, and others.
 
Qualifications:
1. A young adult who has personal experience living with and recovering from mental health needs, substance misuse, and/or traumatic life concerns which caused challenges in one or more areas of life 2. At least 1 year experience working with youth and young adults 3. Ability to be strengths-based and accepts young adults unconditionally without judgment or blame for the challenges they face. 4. Must be flexible and able to respond to young adults who may be under stress and, at times, in crisis.

Reporting to the Volunteer Lead, the Volunteer Coordinator assists in the recruiting, training, organization, and support of the team of volunteer drivers within the RCT service area, administering the volunteer driver program to ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality, safe volunteer driver services to RCT passengers. This position will be based in our Morrisville (VT) office, serving Lamoille, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties.

Reporting to the Volunteer Lead, the Volunteer Coordinator assists in the recruiting, training, organization, and support of the team of volunteer drivers within the RCT service area, administering the volunteer driver program to ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality, safe volunteer driver services to RCT passengers. This position will be based in our Morrisville (VT) office, serving Lamoille, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties.
Duties and Responsibilities

<li>Coordinate distribution, completion, and receipt of all required forms and documentation for volunteer drivers, including background check consent and information forms; applications; driver license and vehicle insurance verification; and other documents as required for reports and files. Follow up with volunteers and prospective volunteers as required to obtain all documents.</li>

<li>Address inaccurate volunteer driver manifests and follow up with drivers as necessary to complete and/or correct trip data.</li>

<li>Responsible for volunteer relations: regularly communicate and check in with volunteers and respond promptly to volunteer concerns and complaints.</li>

<li>Inform Volunteer Lead of concerns and issues related to volunteer drivers, as necessary/appropriate.</li>

<li>Assist in the evaluation of volunteer driver performance; advise management on such performance and of any required/recommended corrective action and/or severance of the volunteer/Agency relationship; and take appropriate action, as necessary.</li>

MWLS is looking for a Parent Partner to join the new Family Preservation Project (“FPP”) legal team. In partnership with a staff attorney and paralegal, the Parent Partner will help to launch FPP to provide civil legal aid and other supports to families who have open cases with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families (“DCF”). The FPP team will support clients who are part of DCF-involved families by providing them with legal help, case management support, and guidance through the DCF process. This Project aims to keep children safe with their families and minimize the emotional trauma experienced by families whose children are at risk of removal by DCF. The Parent Partner is someone who has personal experience navigating the DCF system in Massachusetts, or another state, on behalf of their own family. The Parent Partner will help DCF-involved families to navigate the process by sharing their own knowledge and experience of being part of a DCF-involved family.
