We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to oversee large-scale warehouse and storage facility construction projects across multiple locations. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep field knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage all aspects of on-site construction from groundbreaking to closeout. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable traveling regularly, and has a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day field operations and ensure all work is completed according to plans, specifications, and safety requirements.

Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain project schedules and quality expectations.

Manage project site logistics, including equipment, materials, and manpower allocation.

Conduct daily and weekly jobsite meetings, ensuring alignment among project stakeholders.

Enforce all safety protocols and conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.

Review and interpret blueprints, schedules, and submittals; identify potential conflicts or delays and implement proactive solutions.

Communicate regularly with Project Managers and executives on progress, site challenges, and resource needs.

Ensure inspections, permits, and project documentation are completed accurately and on time.

Maintain project records, including daily logs, quality reports, and photographs.

Travel to and manage multiple project sites as needed throughout assigned regions.
Qualifications

5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction, with a strong emphasis on warehouse, storage, or industrial projects.

Proven ability to manage ground-up construction from site preparation through turnover.

Strong knowledge of structural steel, tilt-up, and concrete construction methods.

Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, and specifications.

OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Proficient in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).

Willingness and ability to travel extensively and remain on-site for the duration of assigned projects.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand, walk, and move around the jobsite for extended periods.

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Frequent travel to out-of-state project sites (company-covered travel and lodging).
