Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school in Peterborough, New Hampshire is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to support a high school student during the 20252026 academic year. This is a full-time, onsite role requiring both instructional support and communication facilitation for one student.

Type: 1:1 assignment with a high school student

Hours: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for a high school student in academic and school-based settings

Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers

Support academic understanding through clear interpretation of instruction and social interaction

Teach and reinforce ASL in alignment with student goals

Adapt to the students unique communication needs and preferences
Qualifications:

Must be ASL certified

High School diploma required
-
Multiple years of experience using ASL and other sign systems/languages

Licensure by the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent is preferred

Must hold current New Hampshire state license/certification

Previous school-based interpreting experience is required
