Picture starting your day at a well-run, 77‑unit residential community. You grab your list of work orders, meet your teammate (it’s a tight 2-person crew), and get to work—fixing a leaky faucet, troubleshooting a fridge that won’t cool, swapping out a hallway lightbulb, and tackling a few preventive tasks before lunch. No HVAC or complex mechanical systems on your plate—this isn’t a specialized technician role, just practical, everyday building care that keeps residents comfortable.
About the assignment
- Employer: Schulte Staffing Solutions
- Location: Gloucester, MA (77-unit residential property)
- Type: Temporary (minimum 6–8 months) with potential to extend or convert to permanent
- Team: Collaborative 2-person maintenance crew
What you’ll handle
- General apartment and building upkeep and repairs
- Light plumbing (unclogging toilets, fixing minor leaks)
- Troubleshooting common household appliances (stoves, refrigerators, etc.)
- Basic handyman tasks (lightbulb changes, small fixes)
- Preventive maintenance to keep things running smoothly
- On-call rotation every other weekend with your teammate
Note: No HVAC or mechanical specialization required.
Schedule and pay
- Start time: Flexible between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM
- Hours: 8-hour shift, Monday–Friday
- On-call: Every other weekend (rotating)
- Compensation: $25–$27 per hour, based on experience
What you bring
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
- Previous apartment maintenance experience
- General maintenance or handyman background preferred
- Proficient with basic tools and routine repairs
- Physically able to perform maintenance tasks
- Own transportation to Gloucester, MA
