Job Title: HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician (Industrial/Commercial)
Location: Based in Quincy, MA — Servicing Eastern Massachusetts & Southern New Hampshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation: $75,000 – $110,000 per year (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:
We are currently hiring a skilled and reliable HVAC Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team based in Quincy, MA. This is a field-based position serving commercial and industrial clients throughout Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer care.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including:

Walk-in and reach-in coolers/freezers

Ice machines and commercial refrigeration units

Rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, and air handlers

Control systems and building automation equipment
-

Perform regular preventive maintenance and scheduled service visits

Read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and system blueprints

Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local mechanical codes, and manufacturer specifications

Clearly communicate findings, recommended repairs, and maintenance solutions to clients and supervisors

Maintain accurate service records using mobile service software or paper documentation

Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service coverage

Keep company vehicle, tools, and inventory organized and in good working condition
Qualifications:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration service

Valid Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License

EPA Universal Certification required

Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R systems and electrical components

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Clean and valid driver’s license

Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces
Preferred Skills & Experience:

Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS)

Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Trane, Carrier, York, Lennox, Daikin)

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification

Experience working in mission-critical environments (hospitals, schools, labs, data centers, etc.)

Familiarity with energy-efficient upgrades and retrofits
