Job Duties
- Perform echocardiographic procedures including transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, contrast, and bubble studies per physician orders and departmental protocol.
- Operate Philips Ultrasound and GE Clinical Works systems to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Evaluate and document cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and function accurately within the Sunrise (Allscripts) EMR.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout procedures.
- Communicate exam findings and pertinent clinical observations to interpreting cardiologists.
- Maintain equipment performance, follow infection control standards, and comply with radiation and patient care policies.
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend coverage as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current RDCS or RCS certification
- Current BLS certification
- New Hampshire Board of Medical Imaging Licensure
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Echocardiography Technologist
- Proficiency with Philips and/or GE ultrasound equipment
- Experience performing a variety of echocardiographic studies (stress, TEE, contrast, bubble)
