JOB SUMMARY
The QC Senior/Principal Scientist for Analytical Method Validation is key role within our Quality Control Technical Services (QCTS) department within our CDMO facility. The individual in this role will work collaboratively with new and current clients, analytical development team, quality control, manufacturing and quality assurance. Lead transfer and validate next generation analytical procedures for the testing of viral vectors, cell banks and gene therapy products in support of Genezen's services and commercial products in compliance with company policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

<li>Familiar with FDA and EMA guidance documents relevant to gene therapy.</li>

Job Details
 Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li> Develop methods of manufacture and process drawings using standard GD&amp;T practices and technical work instructions for various metal tubular components</li>
<li> Maintain revision control and revision changes for manufacturing process drawings </li>
<li> Review and approve manufacturing drawings for correct GD&amp;T and accuracy</li>
<li> Ability to read and understand technical engineering drawings, specifications, and customer flow down requirements for multiple programs</li>
<li> Support the research, design, and selection of tooling, fixturing, and gauging to be used in the manufacturing process</li>
<li> Investigate and determine root cause using 8D and 5 why methods</li>
<li> Provide technical guidance in the disposition of non-conformances</li>
<li> Create mechanical testing reports and graphs to track trends</li>
<li> Interpret inspection data during development phases and provide guidance</li>
<li> Support commercial quote activity by assessing technical feasibility and providing engineering calculations</li>
<li> Provide additional support to the engineering department as needed</li>
<li> Help to lead a Zero Injury Culture through actions and developing safe job procedures</li>

 Qualifications: 
<ul>
<li> Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent field</li>
<li> Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment</li>
<li> Experience with AS9100</li>
<li> Strong experience in process drawings and GD&amp;T per ASME Y14.5 standards</li>
<li> Cold working or spinning experience</li>
<li> Ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, caliper, and dial indicators</li>
<li> Familiar with assembly of designs and fixturing</li>
