Position Summary: Plans, supervises and evaluates a program of therapeutic learning and play experiences to promote the patient’s physical, social, and cognitive development during hospitalization and health care encounters. Performs other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: (Minimum qualifications for the position) Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certification or eligibility through the Child Life Council. If only eligible, must obtain certification within one (1) year.Education: B.S. or B.A. degree in required in Child/Human Development, Child Life, Therapeutic Recreation or related therapeutic/health field is recommended.Experience: Experience in working with healthy children as well as sick children is desirableSpecial qualifications: Must be able to successfully complete established competencies for the position within designated probationary period. CPR CertificationHours of work: Shift as scheduled.
