The Dothan-Eagle is seeking a local news reporter to add to its newsgathering team. The ideal candidate would be interested in rising above the traditional beat structure to pursue and tell meaningful stories in many different areas and through different platforms.
He/she would be motivated to craft ideas into stories and projects both individually and within a team, and be able to use a vast array of digital and social media tools to illustrate and promote stories. The Dothan Eagle is a seven-day-a-week daily newspaper owned by BH Media, a division of Berkshire Hathaway. The paper has produced a Harvard University Nieman Fellow and launched reporting careers at many large metro dailies. A degree in journalism, daily newspaper experience and a digital storytelling background is highly preferred. A resume, clips/links to work and references can be sent to the link below.
