The NMH Advancement Office is looking for a seasoned fundraising professional.
The person in this position is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects capable of making gifts in the $100,000 - $1,000,000+ range to support the NMH campaign, currently in its quiet phase.
Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this position manages prospects in different geographic regions and works as a member of a team of campaign officers and managers to raise major campaign gifts for Northfield Mount Hermon School.
The successful applicant will have a Bachelors Degree or higher and at least 10 years of development experience, including face to face solicitation of prospects; experience with capital campaigns preferred.
Candidates must have outstanding organizational, technical, oral and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to create and sustain good relationships with donors, staff, faculty, and volunteers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products preferred and experience with Raisers Edge or comparable fundraising software is highly desired.
Additional qualifications include the ability to work collaboratively with a team, as well as being a self-starter capable of working independently.
Some weekend and evening work required, as well as a willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Valid drivers license required. Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in making a positive impact on the lives of adolescents and embrace the opportunity to work with a diverse community in a boarding school environment.
