The Deerfield Academy Dining Hall is seeking a Group II Cafe Louis Worker to work approximately 40 hours per week during the academic year.
This is a fully benefitted position with standard hours of 2:30PM-10:00PM.
The primary responsibilities for the Cafe Louis Worker are preparing and cooking food items for sale to the Deerfield Academy students and community, and operating a POS system and accurately settling the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Duties include operating and maintaining food equipment, including food slicer, Panini grill, espresso machine and dishwasher; maintaining a clean and sanitary work area; ordering stockroom and bakery items and stocking shelves; and providing excellent customer service.
The successful candidate will have completed the 12th grade or equivalent; is able to work well with others; possesses a strong customer service ethic; has the ability to perform multiple tasks under stressful situations; has the ability to operate a computer based cash register; is able to spend long periods of time on feet and climb stairs; has a flexible schedule; and can occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
