Open Positions at the College of Nursing
The College of Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is currently hiring for the following positions to teach the nurses of the future and participate in the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programming in the College of Nursing. They will work with the College of Nursing faculty and other departments on campus to promote opportunities for inter-professional education. Advising and teaching responsibilities frequently compete for priority requiring flexibility and adaptability. These roles require the abilities of a very qualified educator with broad nursing/faculty experience in clinical areas and levels of complexity including substantial expertise in teaching.

Clinical Assistant Professor-Acute Care Nursing:
Full-time, 9-month, Clinical Assistant Professor with a specialty in care of critical and chronically ill adults. Reports to the Associate Dean. (67% teaching, 10% service/governance, 23% scholarship).
Clinical Assistant Professor or above for Pediatric Nursing: Full-time, 12-month, Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor with a specialty in pediatric nursing. Reports to the Associate Dean. (67% teaching, 10% service/governance, 23% scholarship).
Nursing Clinical Assistant Professor:
Full-time, 9-month, Clinical Assistant Professor with a specialty in community care. Reports to the Associate Dean. (67% teaching, 10% service/governance, 23% scholarship).
Assistant Professor on the Tenure Track (2 positions): (Two) Full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant Professors with a program of nursing research aligned with NIH priorities such as Clinical and Health Services Research, Integrative Biological and Behavioral Sciences, and Community Health and Population Sciences, advancing minority health and health disparities research.
Reporting directly to the dean, the successful candidates will be expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise graduate students, contribute significantly to the advancement of nursing discovery, establish a vibrant, independent research program, and play an active role in community and academic service activities in the Colleges of Nursing as well as in the wider University. (50% teaching, 10% service/governance, 40% scholarship).
Clinical Placement Coordinator:
Full-time, 12-month, Clinical Placement Coordinator. Reports to the Undergraduate Assistant Dean and serves as a liaison between the RN programs of the College and the local healthcare community. This position may require some travel regionally and nationally with occasional weekend work.
