TREASURER/COLLECTOR The Town of Northfield seeks a skilled professional for the position of Treasurer/Collector.
The Treasurer/Collector is appointed by the Board of Selectmen and reports to the Town Administrator.
Position responsibilities include the collection of all town revenue including real estate, personal property and excise taxes, other municipal receipts, tax title administration, receipt, disbursement and investment of town funds; management of and oversight of debt in accordance with state and federal laws.
The Treasurer/Collector is responsible for cash management, payroll, monitoring receipts and maintaining internal financial control procedures, including the reconciliation of town funds from all sources.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field preferred; three to five (3-5) years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
This is a part time (24 hours/week), benefitted position, with a salary range of $23.40 to $28.59 per hour.
