The Tulare County Superior Court is a unified trial court serving the County of Tulare. The court hears all matters in criminal, traffic, civil, probate, juvenile, family and mental health cases.
Duties: Under Executive direction, the Court Financial Officer plans, organizes and administers all activities related to the budgetary, accounting, fiscal reporting, revenue disbursement, grant administration and related functions of the Court; analyzes, evaluates, recommends and implements procedural and fiscal control and reporting improvements to the Courts Executive Officer; acts as the court’s budgetary and fiscal liaison with the State of California and other funded agencies, provides supervision to accounting staff directly or through subordinate senior staff.
Requirements: The combination of education and experience listed as follows is qualifying: Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, public administration or related field. Experience: Five years of financial accounting and budgetary experience in a public or governmental agency, with at least three years managing finance or accounting department and supervising employees. MBA, or licensed as a CPA is highly desirable. Prior lead or supervisory experience in a governmental agency is desirable.
