The Greenfield (MA) Housing Authority is seeking highly qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Executive Director.
The ideal candidate shall have 6 years' experience in the field of housing management, community development, public administration or a closely related field.
A Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's degree in a related field is desired.
Must have a working knowledge of fiscal management, maintenance systems, personnel and administrative management systems in private or public housing.
One year's supervisory experience of a staff of seven or more is required.
Written and verbal skills necessary to effectively communicate with local officials, boards, residents and funding agencies.
Considerable knowledge of local, state and federal governmental procedures and regulations as they relate to housing development, construction and the management of local housing authority operations.
The applicant must be bondable and pass a Criminal History background check.
Candidates should have or be prepared to obtain certification as a Public Housing Manager (PHM) from a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) approved organization, as well as a Massachusetts Certification (MPHA) within one year of hire.
The Greenfield Housing Authority consists of 108 units of Chapter 667 Elderly Handicapped units; 74 Chapter 200 units; 40 Chapter 705 units; 19 Chapter 667 Congregate Housing units; 526 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) units; 113 Massachusetts Rental Voucher Program (MRVP) units and a Chapter 689 residence.
In addition, the Greenfield Housing Authority is the Management Entity for 55 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) SRO units.
Salary range for this position is between $109,797 and $125,797 depending upon experience and education and subject to approval by the Department of Housing and Community Development.
